The Exploited is een Schotse punkband die in 1980 is opgericht in Edinburgh, Schotland. In 1981 kwam het eerste album Punks Not Dead uit en zette de band op de kaart. De band gebruikt politieke teksten in hun muziek.
Na enkele decennia, en vele bezettingsveranderingen, is ex-soldaat Walter ("Wattie") Buchan nog steeds de aanvoerder van de band.
