De Duitse band The Other wordt ook wel "Europa's populairste horrorpunk-band" genoemd. Zij hebben getourd met bands als Bela B (van "Die Ärzte"), Alice Cooper, The Cult, Misfits, The Damned, Jennifer Rostock, Balzac, Blitzkid, D.R.I., The 69 Eyes, Wednesday 13, Cinema Strange, Meteors, Mad Sin, The Adicts, Real McKenzies, Frank The Baptist, etc.
Ook stonden zij op talloze festivals, zoals Wave Gotik Treffen, Mera Luna, Amphi, Wacken Open Air, Force Attack en Ruhrpott Rodeo.
Het debuutalbum "They're Alive" kwam uit in 2004, gevolgd door het bejubelde album "We Are Who We Eat" in 2006. Vervolgens bracht de band een comicbook uit ("Tales of The Other") en in 2008 werd hun derde album "The Place to Bleed" afgerond.
Tegenwoordig is The Other gecontracteerd door Steamhammer/SPV. Het vierde album "New Blood" werd in mei 2010 uitgebracht.
