Unas

September 2004. In a small rehearsal room somewhere in Tilburg, UNAS was hitting the drums, pulling the strings and clearing their throats. This foursome was trying to bring some heavier styles of music back into the world, but soon they realised that four was not enough to get the job done. The band, at the time, consisted of Noëmy Maes, Maarten Freek Geerts, Bram v. Kerckhoven and Paul "Polly" Klomp. They went on a quest to find a new fitting guitarist. With some phone calls and e-mails Stijn v. Hagen was recruited to fill the spot and the writing could begin.

About a year later, UNAS was forced to let Noëmy go. Mostly because of differences, musically and socially. Now the search began for a new bass player. It was a rough time since everyone they knew either played guitar or sang but when they got into a conversation with Robin v. Stigt everything changed. Robin, once a great guitar player, was willing to give it a try on bass. After some hours in our rehearsal studio, we didn't _ever_ want to lose him again.

Thus, the band was complete once again. It was time for new music, new songs and new performances. UNAS entered the Emerganza Promotion Festival and was surprised with the outcome. After they got into the semi-finals, they even made it to the final and had the honour to play in the Dommelsch zaal in 013.

After a long period of performing and rehearsing, they finally decided to make a mini CD. In December 2007 they started to record four of their favourite songs. With the mini CD now finished, they are planning to release it and to start a tour in the Netherlands.
