Gertrude

eclectic post punk orchestra.

Coming from London's underground artsy/squat scene. Formed in 1997 as a collective from the outset, the bands commitment to radical ways of organising and managing themselves was realised musically by the rhythmical interplay between different band members and by having three main vocalists who weave in and out of multi layered songs.

Gertrude was created to stick two fingers up at the narcissistic macho rock posturing that popular culture romances with, and just as importantly, to write sophisicated agitated music.
