On February 15 2020, Batmobile played live for the last time in Bristol (UK). The shows planned for the rest of the year kept getting postponed. Some bands decided to perform in front of a camera with some empty bar stools and a few plants. The guys from Batmobile quickly concluded that this was not how they wanted it: ‘If you make an online covid event, the lack of live atmosphere has to be made up for!
And it’s possible! With limited resources but unlimited energy and creativity, Batmobile has succeeded in creating an hour-long online event. A live performance on a virtual planet is alternated, with down-to-earth reports by singer Jeroen Haamers. The result: ‘The World of Batmobile’.
