Met invloedrijke albums als 'Siamese Dream’ en 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness’ groeide The Smashing Pumpkins uit tot één van de grootste alt-rock bands van de jaren ’90 en ver daar voorbij. In 2023 brachten ze het laatste deel van hun rockopera 'ATUM’ uit; een driedubbel conceptalbum van in totaal maar liefst 33 nummers.
